Prior to film, Jackie Randell worked in journalism, marketing and public relations. She has contributed to national publications such as Teen Vogue magazine and lent her marketing expertise to a leading luxury hotel company in Vail, Colo. Randell received bachelor's degrees in English and journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning her master's in English at New York University. She was raised in Westlake Village, Calif., and attended middle school and high school in Winter Park, Fla.
