Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jonathan Grubbs studied at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies while interning at EUE/Screen Gems Studios under the guidance of Frank Capra, Jr. After university, he began doing research and story development for the Food Network and HGTV programming. Early in his career he worked mainly on commercials. Since 2000, he's been a part of more than 300 national and regional spots for the likes of Coca-Cola, Apple, NASCAR, UPS, Target, Ford, Under Armour, Sprint, Toyota, Verizon, Bank of America, Sprint and hundreds of others.
